CBB went along to this show at Tim Melville Gallery last night. Two artists - Elliot Collins and Linden Simmons - who both featured in Issue One of CBB were exhibiting alongside Wayne Youle in a show which 'utilized and addressed aspects of the watercolour medium' which basically means it was awesome.
Linden's mini, intricate watercolours (loved the framing!) were of his trademark scenes of tragedies cut from The New Zealand Herald and he was heard regailing a fellow attendee with the story behind each.
Elliot's works were large scale maths-like grids with certain squares filled in with colour, all three had awesome names like 'Growing up really fucking hurts'. Check out more of Elliot's work on the Tim Melville website here
